What should I do if the iPhone X screen does not respond to touch?

What should I do if the iPhone X screen does not respond to touch?
In rare cases, the screen of the iPhone X can not stop responding to touching. Swapes and touches are either not read at all, or read with a delay.
Sometimes the screen of iPhone X completely freezes and does not react to any interaction with the device.
This happens rarely, but still quite unpleasant. Fortunately, this problem is a simple solution, so do not worry much.
First, make sure that the display of your iPhone X is clean, and it's not the protective glass that is installed incorrectly. Now you can proceed to the solutions described below.
What's the best way to solve the problem with the iPhone X's hovering screen? Old good forced reboot! A forced reboot should really help and return the screen to all functionality.

What to do if the iPhone screen does not respond

To force a restart of the iPhone X, follow the steps below:
  1. Press and release the volume up button.
  2. Press and release the volume down button.
  3. Hold down the side button until you see the Apple logo on the screen, it will happen in about 10 seconds.
  4. When the logo appears, release the side button and the device will boot as usual.
When iPhone X is turned on, the screen should work as it should. All touches should be read instantly.
Forced reboot is not the most advanced solution, but it works and runs very quickly. Perhaps this is even the best way.

Upgrade to iOS on iPhone X

After a forced reboot, you need to update iOS to the latest available version, if you have not already done so.
  1. Save your iPhone X backup using iCloud or iTunes.
  2. Go to Settings> General> Software Update.
  3. If you have an iOS update, download and install it as usual.
It's very important to update to the latest version of iOS, as various bugs can cause the screen to hang, which are regularly fixed in updates.

Why does the iPhone screen stop responding?

It is impossible to say exactly why this happens without any apparent reason. However, most likely, this is a systemic problem.
Some time ago, Apple released an update to iOS 11.1.2, in the postscript to which it was said the following: "Fixed a bug due to which the iPhone X screen temporarily does not respond to touching at low temperatures."
Users also often write that the screen of the iPhone X hangs in the cold. In such cases, the problem may be solved by installing the iOS update.
However, low temperatures are not the only reason, sometimes the screen of the iPhone X stops responding and in warm rooms. There have been cases when this happened even on devices with iOS 11.2.6.
Most likely, this is another iOS system problem or bug of some application. The device may not work properly if the load is too high. That's why everything is adjusted after the forced reboot.
Also worth noting is that the iPhone X is still a new model, so if the solutions above do not help you cope with the problem, you need to turn to Apple's support. The problem with the screen arose both with the model of the iPhone 6s, and with the iPhone 7. Most often it helps the usual forced reboot, system update or even recovery.

Reviews of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus : a familiar design with new features

Earlier this month, Apple presented the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Pre-orders started at the end of last week, and in stores, phones will appear on September 22.

Just before the release of new models began to appear reviews about them. In general, all come to the conclusion that Apple has released another update line that will become obsolete in a year, but it will suit those who are already tired of their iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus. Or for those who are interested in an improved camera and a glass case with wireless charging support.

The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus have a design first introduced with the iPhone 6, so these models do not have a futuristic frameless screen, like on the iPhone X.

A selection of reviews about the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus from different editions

"The fact is that the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are very good impressive phones, but they are not the best even among Apple phonesiPhone represents the company's vision of the future, as well as the vision of SamsungEssentialHuawei and all the rest. In this future, there are no frames, and the cameras are so advanced that they can change the whole essence of smartphones. iPhone 8 contains everything you need a smartphone, but it is perceived as the completion of something before Apple and others are going to start something new. When your phone sees you and the world around, it changes what the phone is, what it can do and what it can become. This fall, Apple gives you a choice: fly a business class at the best places or economy.

If you want a good phone, iPhone 8 is right for you. I would recommend 8 Plus if you are not against large sizes because the improved camera and battery are very nice bonuses. Both models are fantastic. However, if you want to be part of the future, save your money and wait for the iPhone to come out. "

The Verge

"After spending a week with the iPhone 8, I did not find any reason to buy it if you have an iPhone 7. The seventh is still very fast and looks just like the new model, only weighs less. Also, with the update of iOS11, it will receive almost all the features that are in the eighth. If you want to use wireless charging, then you can just buy a $ 15 bag that supports it. And if you are enthusiastic about the portrait light mode, it can be replaced by tons of applications in the App Store. Of course, if you have a model older than the iPhone 7, improving the camera and working in general may surprise you.

And still, many people will still buy an iPhone 8 - a phone that will work if your old one breaks down or starts to work worse. This is the base Apple phone, and for the base one, it's pretty good. But he has no place in the future. This is just a basic option.

It's the iPhone"

"Your pocket camera will get better. Once again. Apple always paid much attention to the quality of the camera, and the iPhone Plus was no exception. A new dual 12MP camera that can take pictures with stunning colors and details, as before, contains a wide-angle and telephoto lens. The iPhone Plus is a very serious camera.

I went to travel to San Francisco to capture a combination of urban architecture, landscapes, and natural beauty, and at the same time to test a new camera.

I sailed off the coast of San Francisco, fished in Ocean Beach, cycled along the island of Angel and walked on Chinatown. After 2,000 photos, I experienced all the possibilities of the new camera. I'm impressed. "

Business Insider

"New models of the iPhone 8 are considered expensive phones. But let this fantastic smartphone, they do not catch up with the iPhone the X.

I advise you to ask yourself how much money you are willing to spend. If you are willing to sacrifice some futuristic features of the iPhone X, then take the iPhone 8 and get the same powerful and high-quality work, only a couple of hundred dollars cheaper.

"When I first picked up the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, I immediately thought that they should be called the iPhone 7and Plus. I was wrong. They contained much more, but they just kept the old design. If you judge by filling, 8 and 8 Plus contain a significant improvement. They have more memory, better cameras, an improved system, and their work as usual at altitude. iPhone will continue to draw attention to itself, and in one I'm sure for sure: they are not as stylish as X, but 8 and 8 Plus are great phones that will not let you down. "

The Wall Street Journal

"The glass case can remind you of the iPhone 4 - one of the most legendary designs of Apple. But this is not enough. The reflective surface of the iPhone 7 made it pleasant to the touch - like pebbles polished with ocean waves. On the iPhone 8, there are joints of glass and aluminum frames, and they spoil the whole impression. It's impossible to deny that the phone looks obsolete compared to the bent glass like on the Samsung Galaxy 8, the screen of which goes beyond all limits. "

How to prepare your iPhone or iPad for iOS 11 release

Daring Fireball

"The new model - a decent annual update, they are at least as best iPhone 7 as he was better than iPhone 6, the S. If they did not present the iPhone with them, we would be impressed much more. They have a lot of good and nothing bad.

But the iPhone X was presented with them, and it attracted all the attention. To pretend that this is not so, there is no point.

However, the iPhone 8 should not be compared with the iPhone X, but the iPhone 7. iPhone has something to offer: a 5.8-inch OLED display, a convenient size, a Face ID and a front camera that recognizes the depth of the image. An improved main camera (with optical image stabilization at both lenses). But the A11 processor, inductive charging, and True Tone are also on the models of the iPhone 8.

Not bad for a boring yearly update. "

iPhone 8 is a simple and customary version of this year. It has almost all the functions of the iPhone X, not counting the TrueDepth camera and the OLED display. However, the appearance almost did not change. If you are accustomed to buying the best phone of each year, then you should wait for the iPhone the X.However, not counting the notch on display, in which the new camera and various sensors are hidden, the rest of the main updates you will find on the iPhone 8.

I thought a lot and believed that the iPhone could be called a super-version of the iPhone line. Now the iPhone 8 is still one of the best smartphones, especially when it comes to the camera.

iPhone has long been the most popular camera in the world, and there are reasons for this. It is because of the camera people are buying new models. Every year there are changes in the design with the system, but the camera dwarfs them. This year Apple impressed everyone with the portrait light mode, because of which I recommend buying 8 Plus. "

Many agreed that the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are powerful smartphones with excellent cameras, and some believe that they are not worth buying if you have an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus. Most also believe that it's better to wait for the iPhone X to come out if you like more advanced technologies and its frameless design.

How much does the production of the iPhone X cost?

Those who think that Apple is just selling devices are mistaken. Those who think that the company has succeeded thanks to the brand is closer to the truth. The main reason for the success of the company is that, along with each of its devices, it sells emotions.
How much does the production of the iPhone X cost?

Recently, Apple presented the iPhone X with two main characteristics - face recognition and frameless display. The first of them is really innovative because only on the iPhone X it works with dignity. However, the second cannot be said. There are many smartphones with large screens without frames, and Apple joined the marathon with a little delay. But this did not stop the company from selling millions of new phones within the first few minutes. The iPhone X was sold out instantly. This is a paradox, because the smartphone costs as much as 999 or 1149 dollars for options with 64GB and 256GB of memory, respectively. Producers say that the high price is justified by the costs of manufacturing. So let's find out if this is so, and how much the company earns on every iPhone X.

According to Statista, the production of the iPhone X costs about $ 370. This is twice as expensive as the production of the iPhone 4S, which is considered one of the company's best phones. The cheapest model is the iPhone SE, its production costs only $ 160.

Well, production of the iPhone X really costs more than all other Apple phones. However, we made another table, which shows the difference between the price and the cost of production. Now we know how much the company earns on every iPhone.

How to activate Siri on iPhone X

The new iPhone X supports the virtual assistant Siri, which can perform many voice commands and tasks. If you are accustomed to activate Siri, by clutching the Home button, you will have to learn a new way, because this button is not on the iPhone X.

How to activate Siri on iPhone X

Activate Siri on the iPhone X is as easy, the method just changed a little. A virtual assistant can be called up with a voice command or by holding down the side button.

Activate Siri side button

Hold the side button (on) of the iPhone X until you see the Siri screen with a small indicator at the bottom, and then release the button.

If you suddenly do not know the side button is on the right side of the iPhone X.

When Siri is activated, you can ask your question or ask to run the command. Examples of commands:

What is the weather like in Ryazan?
How much time is in Tokyo?
Remind me of meeting with Vasya at four o'clock.
What song is playing now?
Set the alarm at 7 am for each day.
How many meters in thirty kilometers?
What can you do?
Siri can execute hundreds of commands, and if you do not know which ones, just ask: "What can you do?"

The side button of the iPhone X has many uses. It is locked screen, a screenshot is made, Apple Pay is activated, a forced reboot is done, and the screen is activated.

Activating Siri with a voice command

In addition, Siri can be called by a voice command.

If you have the right settings, then do not do anything. Otherwise, go to Settings, and then Siri and Search. Then turn on the option to listen to " Hey, of Siri».

Now you can just say "Hi, Siri", and the helper is activated. However, this does not work if the smartphone is discharged or the power saving mode is enabled.

How to avoid burnout OLED screen iPhone X

The iPhone X is the first iPhone with an OLED display, which Apple calls the Super Retina Display. It is very bright, large and perfectly conveys colours, but it is subject to various problems. One of them is burn-out of the screen, and it is inherent in all OLED-displays.

How to avoid burnout OLED screen iPhone X

Apple did its best to postpone this process, but there still remains the possibility that in a couple of months after the purchase of a new smartphone, burnout will begin to appear on its screen. Below we will talk about ways to prevent this.

What does burn-in of the screen mean?

Burnout of the screen (or burning out the phosphor) is a side effect of the OLED display. This occurs when one image is left on the screen for too long (no movement). After that, the image freezes on the screen. Even when the content changes, the remnants of that image are visible on the display.

Apple added several unique features to the system so that this does not happen with icons in the status bar. The company used the technology of "pixel shifting" so that the icons periodically moved a little and did not stay in one place for too long. This should help avoid burnout.

Besides this, there are methods that you can use yourself.

1. Use the latest version of iOS
Apple will continue to update iOS and add more new features to the system, which will help to avoid burnout of the screen. You will receive these functions only if you regularly install Software Updates.

2. Turn on Auto Brightness
Auto brightness is turned on by default. Apple even transferred this option to Universal Access ->  Display Adaptation. Yes, sometimes auto brightness does not work perfectly, especially when the device can not recognize the lighting level. But the owners of the iPhone X will have to accept this.

The brightness of the screen is the main factor of its burnout. If you leave one full-brightness image on the screen for a long time, the screen may burn out. Therefore, turn on the auto-brightness, and let the system watch for it not to happen.

3. Reduce auto-lock time
iPhone X is automatically locked after 30 seconds. It may be too fast, but this function also helps to avoid burnout of the screen. Face recognition makes sure that the smartphone is not blocked while you look at it (even if you do not interact with the touchscreen). Therefore, a short period of auto-lock will not be a problem.

If earlier you increased the time, we recommend to reduce it to 30 seconds in Settings  ->  Screen and brightness  -> Auto-lock.

4. Do not use the maximum brightness
The most dangerous thing is to constantly use the maximum brightness on the iPhone X. Try to avoid this, even if you do not have auto brightness.

5. How to fix screen burnout
If you already see signs of burnout, then there is a chance to fix them.

In the event that you quickly noticed signs of burnout, just turn off your iPhone for a couple of hours, and then turn it on again. Traces may remain, but eventually, they may disappear (this usually helps on TVs). If the traces do not disappear, the screen will have to be changed.

iPhone 8 and iPhone X will support wireless non-contact charging

On the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X (finally) added support for inductive charging, but Apple did not even mention the greatest potential of this feature.

Until then, wireless charging looked standard: you put the charger in the socket, and then put it on top of your phone. You do not connect the phone itself, but it should still be in physical contact with the charge. However, the future of wireless charging has many changes. For years, at the center of all research is the task of creating a technology that can charge smartphones, even if they just lay on the table next to the device.

Wireless long-range contactless charging will soon appear, and iPhone 8 with iPhone X will support it. A company called Pi is already working on a demo version of the device that can charge the phone without physical contact.

They say that the charging power will be 10 watts, like a wired one, and it will be able to charge four devices at the same time. Many devices will need special cases to support the function, but new models will support it, too.

Pi is a work of art in advanced technologies. Our platform can change the angle and magnetic field to perfectly match your smartphone. No more charging stands. Our technology will be able to charge four phones at the same time at full speed and even more devices, but already slower. Devices will be charged even in motion. And all this is absolutely safe. "

But there are several important nuances. The range of the device is only 30 cm, so it will be difficult to use the phone while charging. In addition, the price of the device is still unknown, and the company says that it will not exceed $ 200. The date of release of the device is also not installed.

In any case, it's good to know that the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X will support this feature. It will be interesting to see how it will benefit other companies.

What the degree of protection IP67 On iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus reallymean

Earlier this month, Apple presented the iPhone X, iPhone and iPhone 8 Plus 8 at the conference in the theater of Steve Jobs. Like the iPhone 7 iPhone 7 Plus, three new models dust- and waterproof.

iPhone and iPhone 8 8 Plus protected degree IP67 standard IEC 60529. But it really means?

The value of the degree of protection IP67

Protection IP67 to the iPhone 8 stands for "ingress protection." The number "67" means that the new models are fully protected against dust and can operate up to 30 minutes underwater at a depth of 1.5m. The number "6" - the degree of protection against dust, and "7" - protection from water. iPhone 8 iPhone 8 Plus and protected from water, but they are not waterproof. As with last year's iPhone 7, it is not the highest level of protection on your smartphone. Almost all the leaders of Android are protected by the degree of IP68. For example, Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 8 and LG V30.

It should be noted that the IP certification does not protect the device from all kinds of liquids. Carbonated water can easily penetrate into the unit and damage it. The same applies to the marine/salt water. Do not swim with your iPhone 8 or the iPhone X in the sea. If you still drop the phone in the sea water, quickly remove it. Even if it works properly, rinse with plain water and phone dry thoroughly. Do the same if spilled on your iPhone any drink.
Top 6 Tips to Speed Up iPhone 7 (Plus)

The iPhone X and iPhone 8 received protection IP67 by insulation parts rubber gaskets. Over time, this protection wears, but the changes do not need to be highly visible. Most importantly, if you drop your phone, and his body is somehow damaged, the IP protection can be broken.

The lack of guarantees

Despite the fact that the phones advertised as waterproof, Apple does not give any guarantee on the repair of damage from liquids. It was the same with last year's models. You can try your luck if you still damage your new iPhone, but it is always better to be cautious.

iPhone X and iPhone 8 will support FLAC audio, like the iPhone 7 with iOS 11

On the new iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus there is a codec that supports FLAC audio - a format for compressing audio data without loss. Owners of iPhone 7 will also be able to enjoy FLAC audio format when they update their devices to iOS 11.

Support for FLAC will be added to the latest iPhone models

Thanks to the codec (Free Lossless Audio Codec) FLAC audio sounds in the same good quality, in which it was recorded initially. The format compresses digital audio data without any loss. It can compress the file by 50-60%, and thus the sound quality will not get worse.

HomePod will not support FLAC, but in the future, Apple can add this feature with the system update. Analyst Dan Matt was the first to announce that the new models will support FLAC and that playing sounds in this format will not consume a lot of battery power.

In summer it became known that FLAC support will be added to some devices with the iOS 11 update, and now we know a little more about it. In the Audio section in the specifications of the iPhone 7, iPhone 8 and iPhone X appeared the point FLAC. Below you can see it on the screenshot.

iPhone FLAC support web

However, there is no support for FLAC in the technical characteristics of the iPad Pro.

In addition, the technical characteristics of the new models do not specify the formats AIFF and WAV, but, most likely, they are now included in the Linear PCM codec.

What about the iPad?

The fact that there will not be any FLAC support on the new iPad Pro is very interesting because they work on the same processor as the iPhone 7. Most likely, Apple decided not to add support for the format to devices that do not have a built-in decoder to save the duration charge the battery.

Decoding FLAC format consumes a lot of energy, and if they are dealt with by one system, the process will be too energy-intensive.

iOS 11 Files app playing FLAC audio iPhone

Audio in FLAC format could be played even on iPhone 6s with a beta version of iOS 11. But on iOS 11 GM iPhone 6s no longer plays sounds in this format, unlike iPhone 7. Apple has removed the system support for FLAC from older models.

While it is not clear what the system requirements for FLAC playback will be.

System requirements for FLAC

We can conclude that the FLAC codec requires the presence of the A10 processor and newer. In the future, more will be known about this. But why FLAC support will not be added to the latest iPad Pro? After all, they work on the A10 Fusion processor, which has even more cores than the iPhone 7. Perhaps the company will first add support for new phone models, and later it will reach the iPad Pro.

FLAC format will be inconvenient on iOS 11

For fans of good sounding, this news will seem good in any case.

But on iOS 11 audio in FLAC format will not be very convenient, because the only way to play it will be the Files application (or third-party applications like Vox or Plex).

If you use iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Box, Google Drive or other storage, you will be able to play FLAC audio directly in the Files application.

Unfortunately, Music on iOS 11 will not be able to play FLAC files.

iOS 11 AirDrop FLAC file iPhone

Perhaps in the future, Apple will expand the ability to play FLAC. For example, the company could add support for FLAC audio files of studio quality (16 and 24 bits) to the Music application and iTunes on the computer so we can synchronize these files on all of our devices.

So far, Apple does not sell FLAC music in the iTunes Store. On iOS and iTunes added support for their own codec Apple ALAC, but it was not popular among users.

Note that playing FLAC audio in Bluetooth headphones, AirPods or via AirPlay will still lose sound quality due to the transmission of audio AAC. To fully enjoy the music in FLAC format, it is best to use high-quality wired headphones.

In the postscript, to the update of iOS 11 about FLAC nothing is said, but usually, the company does not attach much importance to small details, so it does not mean anything.

In addition to supporting FLAC on iOS 11, you should not even doubt it. According to the video report from the conference, developers of 2017, on iOS 11 will be added two new popular audio formats - FLAC and Opus.

"As for FLAC, we will add support for codec, files, and playback," the video says. "For Opus, we will add codec and support for files."

macOS High Sierra supports FLAC audio format via third-party media players, which include VLC Media Player, WALTR and others.

iOS 11 will be released on Tuesday 19 September.

iPhone 8 is almost not sold because of the iPhone X

Apple for several years does not publish sales reports, so there is no point in waiting for them at this time. Meanwhile, since the iPhone 8 release in a number of countries have passed the first weekend, and analytical sites publish approximate sales reports for the period. The results, to put it mildly, not really: even the iPhone 5s in the first weekend of its release it sold more.
iPhone 8 is almost not sold because of the iPhone X

According to analyst firm Localytics, which provides reports on the sales of the iPhone is not the first year, iPhone 8 and 8 Plus have been sold less than 7 and iPhone 7 Plus during the same period

Comparing the distribution of different versions of the iPhone, it may be noted a significant (if not dramatic) the difference is not in favor of new products from Apple. Last year, we noted that the iPhone 7 won 1% of all versions, and it is less than able to conquer the iPhone 6 in 2015 (2%). 0.29% for the iPhone 8 is offset relative success 8 Plus: enhanced version before almost was not popular, but this time she was able to circumvent the standard "eight".

Despite the seemingly dismal sales, analysts see this as a good sign. In their view, this decline is based on the fact that the iPhone users waiting for the iPhone X output in November and upgraded to the iPhone 8 why.

How to roll back from iOS 11.2.5 to iOS 11.2.2 on iPhone and iPad

Recently Apple released iOS 11.2.5 with support for HomePod, Siri News and other improvements and bug fixes. Earlier today, it became known about the upcoming release of the exploit of Russ Cox from Google, on the basis of which it will be possible to create an untethered jailbreak for iOS 11.2.2 - iOS 11.2.
How to roll back from iOS 11.2.5 to iOS 11.2.2 on iPhone and iPad

If you have already updated to iOS 11.2.5, but in the future would like to install a jailbreak, then it's worth to roll back to iOS 11.2.2, while Apple still signs the files of this firmware.

Important details

  • You can roll back only to iOS 11.2.2. It is not possible to roll back to older versions of the system, since Apple no longer signs them.
  • One of the main rules of jailbreaking is not to update to the latest available version of iOS. This always increases your chances of installing a jailbreak. If you currently have iOS 11.1.2 or lower, update to 11.2.2 we are also not recommended.

Check the status of the firmware signature

To find out if Apple signs the file of the correct firmware version, go to this site . A green tick means the firmware is signed, and you have the option to roll back to this version.

Method # 1

This is a more risky way, but it allows you to rollback without losing your data. He is also much faster than the second.
  • Disable  Find the iPhone in Settings (Settings> iCloud> Find iPhone).
  • Download the iOS 11.2.2 firmware for your device. References are attached at the end of this article.
Note:  If you are downloading a file through Safari, disable automatic unzipping or use another browser. You can also rename the .zip file to an .ipsw file.
  • Connect your device with iOS 11.2.5 to your computer.
  • Launch iTunes and select your device in the upper left corner.
  • In the menu on the left, click Browse.
  • Hold down the Alt / Option key on the Mac or Shift on the Windows PC and click Refresh.
  • Select the iOS 11.2.2 IPSW file that you downloaded earlier.
  • iTunes will notify you that your device will be updated to iOS 11.2.2.
  • Click  Update.
  • iTunes will start the process of rolling back to iOS 11.2.2.

Method # 2

This is a safer method, but it will take more time. It is necessary to restore the data from a backup copy. It will be possible to restore only with a copy of iOS 11.2.2 and below, and some data will be lost.

  • The method involves resetting the device and restoring it from a copy, so it may take some time for it, depending on the amount of data recovered and the speed of your Internet connection.
  • It is only suitable for those who have a backup copy of the device in iCloud or iTunes.
  • A standard copy of iCloud or iTunes is likely to be based on iOS 11.2, so with the recovery to iOS 11.2.2 there may be problems.

  • Download the iOS 11.2.2 firmware for your device. You can find the download links at the end of this article.
Note:  If you are downloading a file through Safari, disable automatic unzipping or use another browser. You can also rename the .zip file to an .ipsw file.
  • Enter your device in recovery mode (DFU). If you do not know how to do this, you will find detailed instructions here . Or just follow the steps below.
  • Connect your device to the computer.
  • Disconnect the device by holding down the power button, and then following the slider on the screen.
  • Press the power button for 3 seconds.
  • Do not release the power button, hold down the Home button for 10 seconds.
  • Release the power button, but keep holding the Home button until iTunes notifies you that the device is in Restore mode.
  • Hold down the Alt / Option key on the Mac or Shift on a Windows PC, and then click Restore iPhone ... (iPad / iPod touch) .
Note:  If you do not press the desired key on the keyboard, your device will recover to iOS 11.2.5.
  • Select the iOS 11.2.2 IPSW file that you downloaded earlier.
  • Click  Restore and Update.
  • The next window will show information about updating iOS 11.2.2. Click Continue and  Accept.
  • Now iTunes will install an update on your device. The process should take about 10 minutes.
  • After a successful restore to iOS 11.2.2, you will see a white screen on your device. Follow the instructions on the screen to configure your device, and then restore your data to a saved copy.
That's all. Your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch should successfully roll back from iOS 11.2.5 to iOS 11.2.2.

In case of errors

If you come across a message that your device is incompatible with this version of the software, most likely you downloaded the wrong firmware file. Check and try again.
